When the crane is not in use, the following points should be noted for storage:
Cleaning and inspection
Cleaning: After use, the dust, impurities and mud on the surface of the crane should be cleaned up thoroughly to keep the equipment clean. For parts such as bearings, if there is excess grease, it can be cleaned out. If it feels rough, it can be removed and lubricating oil injected. The steel wire rope part should be evenly coated with grease to protect its lubrication.
Inspection: Check whether all connecting bolts and fasteners are loose. If so, tighten them in time. Check whether the working status and pressure of each hydraulic device are normal, and whether the wiring of the electrical equipment is firm. At the same time, check the wear condition of the steel wire rope, whether there are any broken wires, deformations or other problems. If so, it should be replaced in time.
Storage environment: The hoist should be stored in a dry and well-ventilated indoor environment, avoiding damp or chemically corrosive places to prevent the components of the equipment from corroding and rusting.
Avoid direct sunlight: Do not place the hoist in direct sunlight to prevent damage to the equipment due to prolonged exposure to the sun.
Storage method
Disassembly and storage: If the crane is not used for a long time, it can be disassembled and stored as parts. When disassembling, pay attention to marking the positions and connection methods of each component to facilitate reassembly in the future.
Support placement: For parts that cannot be disassembled, they should be placed on a dry ground and supported with something to ensure a certain distance between the equipment and the ground, preventing ground moisture from eroding the equipment.
Covering protection: When storing, the surface of the equipment can be covered with a cloth to prevent external dust from adhering to the equipment.
Even during the storage period, the hoist should be inspected and maintained regularly, such as checking whether the lubricating oil has deteriorated and whether there are any signs of rust on the equipment. If any problems are found, they should be dealt with in a timely manner.
